Questions about hunting at Las Auras Ranch 1- What calibers to bring? Depending on the game you are hunting you need a caliber which will harvest quickly. many forget that hunting exotics the anatomy of each specie changes. So what most are accustomed to as the kill zone changes a bit. Calibers that I would recommend for Black buck : Rifle- .243, .308 anything over that is over kill. Pistol-357mag, 44 mag any of the contender rounds 375, if bow is your preferences a good cutting bolt. Rams: Rifle- .243 to 300 mag. Pistol 357 mag. - 475 linbaugh, Bow- a good bolt Deer ( fallow, Axis, Sika, Barasingha or Elds Deer) : .243 to 300 mag. In our bunk house you have a small kitchen area with open grills in the back, for those wishing to cook there own meals. the ranch is about twenty minutes from Crystal City which has several restaurants for your choosing. 5- What do we do about taxidermy work? We suggest that you call several taxidermists in your area before choosing one of our local taxidermists. We have several taxidermist for you to choose from. Like in all businesses the price varies as well as the work.
