Aoudads or Barbary sheep are in fact one of Texas most difficult Trophy hunts ! We have the hunted plenty of gold medal aoudad in the past years. With great success. The problem is that it is a two to three day hunt, a hunter needs to be doing a lot of sitting and glassing in the brush to spot the elusive aoudad. I have been trying to make it a bit easier for those by setting out and trying to understand the different herds that we have. For those seeking great rams the time frame is usually the mid weeks of August due to there rut, that is when the huge herds are seen. Then the rams go into bachelor herds for the remainder of the year. If you are interested in hunting a huge ram call me Direct at 956-401-HUNT (4868).
